A camera baseplate with a built-in dual 15mm rod clamp (#1798). It is the piece that turns a bare camera body into a rig. The camera mounts on top, two 15mm rods run forward underneath, and everything else hangs off those rods: matte box, follow focus, lens support.
The rod clamp holds both rods at the standard 15mm spacing, so the front accessories line up with the lens axis without shimming.
Typical use
Build a shoulder rig or a studio build around a mirrorless or small cinema body. Pair it with 15mm rods, then add a matte box and follow focus as the job requires.
