The FPS Cine drop ceiling scissor clamp is the classic grip tool for hanging a light off a suspended ceiling grid. The scissor jaws spread across the T-bar of an office or institutional drop ceiling and lock onto it, giving you a 5/8" baby pin to mount a fixture or accessory.
It is how you get a small light in the air in an office, classroom, or conference room without bringing in a c-stand or rigging point. Always check that the ceiling grid is rated for the weight you are hanging before you trust it with anything heavy.
