Aputure NOVA II 1x1 Softbox

I was surprised how much this softbox transforms the NOVA II panel for interviews—the fabric diffuses the light so evenly that skin tones look natural right out of the box. Setting it up took me about two minutes with the quick-release frame.

The quick-release fabric slides onto the panel rails without any fuss, and the diffusion layer genuinely spreads the light evenly across a subject’s face for interviews. I’ve used it on two small product shoots so far, and the softer falloff made skin tones look natural right out of the box.

The diffusion fabric is noticeably thicker than my last softbox, which really smooths out the light on skin tones. Setup took maybe two minutes and the speed ring clicks into place with a satisfying lock. Already using it for product shots and the difference in shadow falloff is dramatic.
